Performance Space is a New York-based arts organization known for its radical performances and anti-institutional mission.

Inspired by the Fluxus movement and Yoko Ono’s approach of inviting people to create art in their everyday lives, the identity expands from the logo “P,” which transforms infinitely. Artists are commissioned to interpret the “P” according to a set of provided instructions. The project involved both analog methods and coding to develop generative brushes.

Stationery & Printmaking

Printed materials including stationery and booklet are printed on textured paper using a risograph to emphasize the tactile quality of the material—conveying the dynamic energy of the performance space.

Website

The website incorporates an ink brush cursor to extend the analog visual language into the digital space.
I designed an interactive “drawing space” through creative coding that allows visitors to create their own “P”s using analog-inspired assets.

Generative Brush (Process Video)

The process transforms found materials from the streets into generative brushes within a digital space, illustrating the fusion of physical and virtual creation.

Open Movement

Open Movement is a series of weekly artist-led workshops at Performance Space, where artists and participants collaboratively explore innovative intersections of art forms. These include combinations such as Painting + Literature, Clay + Choreography, and Printmaking + Theatre Performance. The visual identity celebrates the limitless possibilities of cross-disciplinary collaboration.
